Otra triste noticia en el mundo del rock
Lamentamos informar el fallecimiento de Felipe Staiti, fundador de Enanitos Verdes, a los 64 años. La noticia fue confirmada por su círculo cercano, tras haber sido internado en el Hospital.
Nacido en Mendoza en 1961, Staiti fue mucho más que un guitarrista: fue parte esencial del sonido que marcó generaciones en toda Latinoamérica. Su estilo, sus composiciones y su identidad musical ayudaron a construir el legado de una de las bandas más importantes del rock en español.
Su partida deja un vacío profundo en la música, pero también una obra que seguirá sonando en cada escenario, en cada carretera y en cada memoria.

Orphans Of The Light el nuevo disco de BlackRain
La agrupación francesa BLACKRAIN estrena nueva producción discográfica titulada "Orphans of the Light" que salio a la venta el 27 de febrero de 2026. La banda esta integrada por Matthieu De La Roche (bajo), Jere G (guitarra), Franky Costanza (bateria) y Swan Hellion (voz / guitarra). Su primer sencillo fue el 16 de enero, primer lanzamiento del año 2026 fue "Orphans of the Light" y posteriormente “If this is love”, “Méandres de l’instinct” canción cantada en su lengua materna el francés con una atmosfera vampirica. Excelente video. “Unleash the fury”, y su ultimo sencillo “Dreams” una canción que a la banda en lo personal dice ser la mas grande que han hecho en toda su carrera. Esto es lo que ellos mismos comentan sobre la canción: La canción es la favorita de los cuatro miembros de BlackRain, el tema que abre el próximo álbum y la más ambiciosa que hemos creado hasta ahora.

El legendario guitarrista Philip Anthony Campbell, mejor conocido como Phil Campbell de la banda Motörhead, falleció el 14 de marzo de 2026 a los 64 años.

We cannot believe we’re saying this…it is with profound sadness that we have to say Philip Anthony Campbell has passed.
He was Motörhead's guitarist for 31 years (the longest serving member aside from Lemmy) having joined in 1984. After Lemmy’s passing, he was blessed to form Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons with his sons Todd, Dane and Tyla, which recorded and toured together for years.
Phil was a wonderful guitarist, writer, performer, and musician who had Motörhead in his veins. He always led with his gift of guitar, and carried a great sense of humour, but most of all, Phil led with his heart. You could not be around him without a chuckle or twenty, because quite simply, Phil loved life and lived it with great joy.
There will be plenty of time for us to share stories -tales of Campbell glory- and some damn good jokes together; for now, please send love and positive energy to Gaynor and the boys while affording them time, space, and privacy.
Much love and RIP Phil. The world has just lost an enormous beam of light, and we are devastated.

Murió Ozzy Osbourne, cantante de Black Sabbath y con una trayectoria grandiosa como solista, hoy 22 de julio de 2025 se confirmo que falleció a los 76 años.
El cantante y fundador de Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, murió este martes a los 76 años, informó The Guardian. El afamado artista había brindado su último concierto el 5 de julio en el estadio Villa Park, en Birmingham, en un evento benéfico titulado “Back to the Beginning”. Osbourne padecía la enfermedad de Parkinson y conmovieron tanto sus ultimas palabras. Parecía que ya presentía su último adiós.

ALICE COOPER REUNE A SU BANDA ORIGINAL
Sin duda la historia del rock Alice Cooper es un gran ejemplo pues ha reunido a la formación original de su legendaria banda para grabar un nuevo álbum de estudio por primera vez en más de medio siglo. Titulado ‘The Revenge Of Alice Cooper’, el disco saldrá a la venta el próximo 25 de julio de 2025 a través del sello earMUSIC.
El nuevo trabajo ha sido grabado por los miembros supervivientes de la banda original: Alice Cooper (voz), Michael Bruce (guitarra), Dennis Dunaway (bajo) y Neal Smith (batería). El álbum supone el primer lanzamiento completo del grupo desde el lejano Muscle Of Love (1973) excelentes noticias para sus fans y sus coleccionistas.
“Fue como si este disco fuera nuestro siguiente álbum tras ‘Muscle Of Love’, simplemente: este es el siguiente’. ¿No es increíble que algo así ocurra después de 50 años?”, explicó Alice Cooper en una entrevista con Billboard.
Además, el álbum contará con el tema “What Happened To You” se basa en un riff de una vieja maqueta grabada por el fallecido guitarrista Glen Buxton, miembro original de la banda fallecido en 1997. Su esencia también estará presente en el bonus track “Return Of The Spiders 2025”, una versión remezclada de un tema del segundo disco del grupo, Easy Action (1970).
Bob Ezrin vuelve a la producción
El icónico productor Bob Ezrin, es quien tendrá en sus manos el trabajo de este nuevo album y además ha sido responsable de otros como Killers (1971), School’s Out (1972) y Billion Dollar Babies (1973), Bob Ezrin ha sido el encargado de dar forma a este nuevo álbum. Ezrin explicó: “Cuando están juntos, es como si acabaran de salir del instituto. Vuelven a ser quienes eran cuando formaron la banda por primera vez… y hacen música como hace más de 50 años”.
El primer adelanto del disco, “Black Mamba”, se estrenará el martes 22 de abril en el programa de radio de Alice Cooper, Alice’s Attic, y contará con la colaboración especial de Robby Krieger, guitarrista de The Doors

La banda compartió un comunicado en tono humorístico sobre el proceso de creación del álbum:
«Nos encerramos en un estudio, invocamos a algunos gigantes, luchamos contra unos cuantos monstruos, y de alguna manera salimos de allí con un nuevo disco: GIANTS & MONSTERS. (También huele un poco a victoria y probablemente a aliento de dragón).»
El guitarrista Kai Hansen expresó su entusiasmo por el resultado final:
«Creo que hemos hecho un gran disco juntos. Estoy muy contento con el resultado. Así que preparaos.»
Por su parte, el vocalista Andi Deris adelantó que el álbum será «más feliz y fácil», mientras que Michael Kiske destacó la ventaja de contar con «dos cantantes y medio» en la banda.

JAPE VOCALISTA DE TO/DIE/FOR DICE ADIOS A LA BANDA
A statement from Jape Perätalo:
TO/DIE/FOR has been my whole life for many, many years. The band has broken up several times, but always with strong will and perseverance it has been kept alive. In April 2024, we did a tour in Mexico, and it felt good to notice that the fans had not forgotten us.
However, during the entire tour, black clouds followed us because I was in pain for almost the entire tour. I forced myself to sing and perform even if it wasn't always worth it and it really took it’s toll after coming back to Finland. I had to cancel all the scheduled acoustic gigs that I do from time to time. I’ve never had the right technique for singing anyway and now it backfired in a serious way.
The remaining original T/D/F members are willing to continue making music under the name of TO/DIE/FOR, and they have my blessing to do so. They are my friends. I'm still making songs by myself at home with no plans for the future, and IF I ever get my throat/singing in shape, then in that case I might return to a more active role in music. Until then, I'll heal my mental hangover alone by sailing and figuring out the winds of my life. Love to all.

TO/DIE/FOR ha sido mi vida durante muchos, muchos años. La banda se ha separado varias veces, pero siempre con una fuerte voluntad y perseverancia se ha mantenido viva. En abril de 2024, hicimos una gira en México y fue bueno notar que los fans no nos habían olvidado.
Sin embargo, durante toda la gira, nos siguieron nubes negras porque estuve sufriendo durante casi toda la gira. Me obligué a cantar y actuar incluso si no siempre valía la pena y realmente me pasó factura después de regresar a Finlandia. Tuve que cancelar todos los conciertos acústicos programados que hago de vez en cuando. De todos modos, nunca he tenido la técnica adecuada para cantar y ahora me salió el tiro por la culata de manera grave.
Los miembros originales restantes de TO/DIE/FOR están dispuestos a seguir haciendo música bajo el nombre de TO/DIE/FOR y tienen mi bendición para hacerlo. Son mis amigos. Todavía estoy haciendo canciones por mi cuenta en casa sin planes para el futuro y si algún día consigo poner en forma mi garganta y mi canto, entonces en ese caso podría volver a tener un papel más activo en la música. Hasta entonces, curaré mi resaca mental solo navegando y descubriendo los vientos de mi vida. Un abrazo para todos.

SEBASTIAN BACH will hit the road in 2024 for an international tour with dates in Latin and North America. The singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor's »What Do I Got To Lose? Tour« - a mix of solo gigs and festival appearances - kicks off with an international run of performances in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile before North American shows in the U.S. and Mexico. The stateside tour gets underway May 10 in Jefferson, LA before wrapping June 29 in San Diego, CA. Tickets for the North American shows go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10:00 AM (local time), while pre-sale tickets are available now.

This news follows SEBASTIAN's exciting end to 2023, which included an appearance on Fox's »The Masked Singer« as "Tiki," a fan and judge favourite who went on to show's group B finals. As ROLLING STONE noted, "Ahead of Tiki's reveal, panelist Nicole Scherzinger applauded his performance, saying 'You're a brilliant vocalist, you can do anything with your voice…'"
Following his final performance on the show in December, SEBASTIAN released 'What Do I Got To Lose?' (Reigning Phoenix Music), marking his first new music in ten years. The track -- which continues to build momentum at rock radio, trending in the Top 40 on the Mediabase's »Active Rock Daily« spin chart -- was co-written by SEBASTIAN, Myles Kennedy (ALTER BRIDGE, SLASH) and Elvis Baskette (MAMMOTH WVH, SLASH), the latter of whom also served as the track's producer. Guitars lock into a heart-thumping groove on the track as SEBASTIAN's voice rings out on the refrain, "I'm holding on for judgment day." The momentum gives way to a fret-burning lead. For the video, SEBASTIAN is joined by his former SKID ROW bandmate, drummer Rob Affuso.

25 years of blood, sweat - and PRIMAL FEAR! 2022 marks the quarter-century band anniversary of the German metal dinosaurs and to celebrate, the band release a remastered deluxe edition of their iconic self-titled debut album (1998) today through Atomic Fire. Besides the mentioned sound polishing by Jacob Hansen (Hansen Studios, Denmark), PRIMAL FEAR have also added three bonus tracks -- a cover version of ACCEPT's 'Breaker' plus two gloriously raw and energetic live recordings of 'Chainbreaker' and 'Running In The Dust' -- to round off the package that features extensive liner notes and many pictures from the band archives. As if this wasn't enough, the group are set to finally return to the stages at Germany's prestigious Summer Breeze Open Air (Dinkelsbuhl) next month as well as at Metal Hammer Paradise (Weissenhausser Strand/Ostsee) in November. DEF LEPPARD "DIAMONDS STAR HALOS" su nuevo disco
Por fin regresa Def Leppard banda inglesa con una nueva producción discográfica, muy esperada por los fans. Por ahora han anunciado el lanzamiento de su duodécimo álbum, siete años después del anterior homónimo.
Diamond Star Halos, ese es su título de esta nueva producción que saldrá a la venta el próximo 27 de mayo, dos semanas antes de que arranque en Atlanta el aplazado The Stadium Tour junto a Mötley Crüe, Poison y Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, por cierto un mega concierto muy esperado con estos grandes monstruos del rock.
La banda grabó su nuevo disco a lo largo de los dos últimos años a distancia, con sus miembros repartidos entre Irlanda, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos durante la pandemia. Este álbum cuenta con colaboraciones de la cantante country Alison Krauss en dos temas y de Mike Garson, pianista de David Bowie, en otros dos, ‘Goodbye For Good This Time’ y ‘Angels (Can’t Help You Now)’.

Finnish melodic metal titans SONATA ARCTICA are a band with a unique sound, driven by different emotions and a touch of melancholy. Today, the band announces the release of their first acoustic album, perfectly entitled "Acoustic Adventures - Volume One", to be released in October 2021 through Nuclear Blast Tonträger Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH.
"This acoustic form of SONATA ARCTICA has been slowly brewing for years", comments vocalist Tony Kakko and explains: "The first manifestation of it, besides the few acoustic versions of songs released throughout the years, was the "Acoustic Adventures Tour" in 2019, which proved to be a great success, sparking an idea to get these songs also recorded and out on an album. Or two albums, at least for starters. Our songs have always been based on beautiful melodies, which makes it very easy to transform and rearrange them perfectly into the acoustic form as well. I should mention that many of the songs work so well dressed in acoustic garments."
"Acoustic Adventures - Volume One" will be the first part, followed by a second acoustic record, to be released in 2022. "I hope you love these albums as much as we do. There are many, many songs we had to leave out of these ”Volume One” and ”Volume Two” albums, so nothing would please me more than adding few more volumes in the future", smiles Tony Kakko and adds: "Looking forward to seeing you on tour again as soon as possible!"
And this tour is hopfully going to happen in autumn, entitled the "Acoustic Adventures MMXXI" tour. It’s been a while since SONATA ARCTICA toured Europe, the last time being in 2019. To promote their "Acoustic Adventures - Volume One" release, the band will embark on a journey through 17 European countries! Support will be provided by Swedish hopefuls ELEINE, who will also be presenting an acoustic set. Keyboardist Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg comments: "Since our Talviyö World Tour is more or less over, it's time to look ahead for the next challenge and since we've had so much fun with the acoustic stuff we decided to make an album as well, and of course we will hit the road immediately after that to celebrate the release of it. As of now we have managed to set up an extensive European Tour and we're really looking forward to getting out there an play some music for all of you."

While concerts and cheering crowds seem to be a long lost echo from the past these days, melancholic progressive metallers AMORPHIS bring back some of the life and uncomparable energy that many of us have been missing so desperately. Recorded during a special hometown show that took place on December 7th, 2019, little did the Finns know that this would be one of their last concerts before the pandemic outbreak in early 2020. With 15 tracks in total and a running time of over one and a half hours, AMORPHIS take you on a journey through their past, showcasing their best songs from the last 30 years that saw the band turn into one of Finland's finest metal exports.
"Helsinki Ice Hall, what can I say... the very same venue where we used to see bands like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica and many many more back in the 80’s when we were kids”, Tomi Koivusaari contemplates when thinking of the show. “I’m sure we all dreamed about playing there someday. In our hometown Helsinki, where it all started with AMORPHIS 30 years ago. So I’d say we had a special feeling at that gig, the last one of the tour in Finland for that year. I guess this recording is a very honest picture of us playing live, nothing is fixed afterwards, except mightily mixed and mastered of course. When I listened to it a while ago, I realized how much I miss playing live. And yet we have no idea when it will be possible next, in this crazy situation with Covid and all... So, stay healthy, take care and shine on you all, see you hopefully soon on tour.

AMON AMARTH CON NUEVO DVD EN VIVO
AMON AMARTH ha anunciado el lanzamiento de un nuevo DVD/Blu-Ray tituado "The Pursuit Of Vikiings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm" para noviembre de ete año. El DVD presentará un documental que contará toda la historia de AMON AMARTH, que celebran sus 25 años de formación. Además también incluirá la grabación de un concierto de la banda en el festival Summer Breeze de 2017.
Aún no han sido revelados más detalles del lanzamiento como la fecha exacta o el contenido completo del mismo. A parte de ese DVD, la banda reveló recientemente que se encuentran trabajando en un nuevo álbum de inéditas que pretenden publicar a principios de 2019
